RAC eviction

If we've got just two nodes left from cluster and they can't talk to each other, eviction begins. And always wins the node with the lowest number.

Hello, world: Beta RAC Exam

Last Monday i tried Oracle RAC exam. Actually, it was beta version, so the number of questions was bigger than in ordinary exams (180 vs 80), but also they gave more time -- about 3 hours (maybe bit more). As you can easily see, English is not my native language, so i spent about minute (OK, sometimes less) just to read and understand the sense of the question. As a result i haven't answered all questions and haven't written any comments. That's a pity, yes.
Another (and the main) stupid thing was that i was poorly prepared. As usual, it was for the lack of time (one more week, and I'd be great guru, sure!) and motivation (ah, it's just Tuesday, I've got almost week).
There have been a number of questions about Data Guard and symmetric/asymmetric configuration that I wasn't acquainted with properly and some questions about tnsnames.ora entries for fault tolerance (when you've got service started that way and this tnsnames.ora entry, so what happened if you service stops on this instance). Deeply regret about it -- I think, that I've failed them all.
Now I've got wonderful MAA note, some blog entries and of course the whole set of official Oracle RAC documentation. Oh, I've almost forgotten about our working cluster! (-:

One disappointing thing about beta exam is absence of results: you finish the exam and don't get any single paper or e-mail. I've got nothing but feeling that it was completely failed. OK, I'll wait for 10 weeks (OMG) for the proof of this. Hate to wait, especially for the neg answer.

Maybe I'll write a litte about "what have we learned today". Something obvious or cute or interesting or odd -- don't know yet.

Hope it'll help me to administer RAC better. Another idea is to improve my English and writing skills (which are poor, I know). So any critical notes are welcome.
